HARLAN -- Maryann Elaine Weddle, 80, Harlan, died February 22 at Myrtue Medical Center in Harlan.    Services will be held Tuesday, Feb. 27 at 1 p.m. at Abundant Life Church in Harlan with burial in the Harlan Cemetery.  Visitation is Tuesday from 11 a.m.-1 p.m.

    DES MOINES -- Cynthia Pedersen, 68, Des Moines, died February 2 at her home.    Services will be held Thursday, March 1 at 10:30 a.m.

    DEFIANCE -- Michael Bruce Coenen, 63, Defiance, died February 20.    Services will be held Saturday, March 3 at 1 p.m.

    MANILLA -- Garland M. Barratt, 90, Manilla, died February 18 at Manilla Manor.    Services will be held Friday, Feb. 23 at 11:30 a.m. at United Methodist Church in Irwin with burial in the Oak Hill Cemetery at a later date.  A masonic service will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at the church fellowship hall in Irwin.  Visitation is Friday from 10-11 a.m.

    PUEBLO, CO -- Peggy Jo Gragert, 68, Pueblo, CO, died February 8.  A memorial service and private burial in Jacksonville will be held at a later date.    She is survived by her husband, Walter, of Pueblo; daughter Martha Coleman of Colorado; son Daniel Gragert of Colorado; stepdaughters Lindy Pittman of Wisconsin and Jennifer Powell of Alabama; and her parents, Howard and Rhoda Henriksen, of Harlan.
 

    AVOCA -- Donna May Dargin, 82, Avoca, died February 19 at Bergan Mercy Medical Center.    Services and burial are pending and will be held at a later date.  Family greeted friends Thursday, Feb. 22 from 6-7:30 p.m.

    HARLAN -- Virginia Mae (Jensen) Schnack, 84, Harlan, died Friday, Feb. 9 in Harlan.    Services will be held Wednesday, Feb. 21 at 10:30 a.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Harlan with burial of ashes in the Harlan Cemetery.  Visitation will be Tuesday, Feb. 20 from 3-8 p.m. with family greeting friends from 5-8 p.m.

    AVOCA -- Tim Dunlevy, 79, Avoca, died February 11 at his home.    Services will be held Friday, Feb. 16 at 11 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Avoca with burial in the Graceland Cemetery at Avoca.  A wake service was held Thursday, Feb. 15 at 6:30 p.m. at Pauley Jones Funeral Home in Avoca.  Family greeted friends Thursday from 5-7 p.m.

    AVOCA -- John C. Barrett, 94, Avoca, formerly of Shelby, died Friday, Feb. 9 in Harlan.    Services will be held Tuesday, Feb. 13 at 10:30 a.m. at Burmeister-Johannsen Funeral Home with burial in the Shelby Cemetery.  Friends were asked to call Monday, Feb. 12 from 2-8 p.m. with family greeting friends from 4-7 p.m.

Blum, 87, Walnut, died Thursday, Feb. 8 at Elm Crest Retirement Community.    Services will be held Saturday, Feb. 17 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Walnut with burial in the St. Patrick Cemetery in Walnut.  A wake service will be held Friday, Feb. 16 at 7:15 p.m. at Pauley Jones Funeral Home in Avoca.     HARLAN -- Betty Aken, 89, Harlan, died February 7 at Myrtue Medical Center in Harlan.    Services will be held Saturday, Feb. 10 at 11 a.m. at First Assembly of God Church in Harlan with burial in the Shelby Cemetery.  Family will greet friends Saturday from 10-11 a.m.

    EARLING     -- Harley Edwin Ploen, 93, Earling, died February 1 at the Little Flower Haven Nursing Home in Earling.    A celebration of life open house will be held Saturday, Feb. 10 from 1-3 p.m. at the Little Flower Haven Chapel in Earling.  Burial will be in the Shelby Cemetery on Sunday, Feb.

    WOODBINE -- Thomas M. Pattison, 60, Woodbine, died February 3 at Rose Vista Home, Inc.    Services will be held Friday, Feb. 9 at 2 p.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Harlan.  Visitation is Friday from noon-2 p.m. at the church.    Pattison is survived by mother Ruthe I. (Hetzler) Pattison of Harlan and father Wilbur “Pat” A.

    HARLAN -- Arthur R. Lister, 89, Harlan, died Thursday, Feb. 1 in Harlan.    Graveside service and burial was held Monday, Feb. 5 at 10:30 a.m.

    HARLAN -- JoAnn Kathryn Rose, 71, Harlan, died January 31 at Myrtue Medical Center in Harlan.    Services will be held Tuesday, Feb. 6 at 11 a.m. at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Harlan with burial at a later date in the Harlan Cemetery.  A wake service was held Monday, Feb. 5 at 7 p.m. at the church.  Family greeted friends Monday from 5-8 p.m.
