CENTERVILLE -- Tyler James Jacobsen, 47, Centerville, formerly of Harlan, died Monday, June 4 at his home.    Services will be held Saturday, June 9 at 1 p.m. at Thomas Funeral Home.  Visitation will take place from 11 a.m.-1 p.m.

    AVOCA -- Linda Irene (Jensen) Wittmann, 64, Avoca, died Saturday, June 2 at UNMC in Omaha, NE.    Services were held Wednesday, June 6 at 10:30 a.m. at Bethany Lutheran Church in Elkhorn, NE.    Wittmann is survived by her husband, Dick Wittmann; daughter Mia (Kyle Herek) Lippold of Omaha; sisters Chris (Dennis) Strudthoff of Canton, GA and Cindy (Tom) Heilig of Harlan; and brother Bob Jensen of Phoenix, AZ. 

    HANCOCK -- Carolyn L. Johnk, 81, Hancock, died May 27 at CHI Health Mercy Hospital.    Services were held Thursday, May 31 at 10 a.m.

    EARLING -- Marie F. Graeve, 95, Earling, died May 25 at the Little Flower Haven Nursing Home.    Services will be held Tuesday, May 29 at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Earling with burial in the St. Joseph’s Cemetery at Earling.  A wake service was held Monday, May 28 at 7 p.m. at the church.  Visitation was Monday from 4-8 p.m.

    AVOCA -- Max Lee Klindt, 89, Avoca, died May 24 at Avoca Specialty Care.    Services will be held Thursday, May 31 at 10:30 a.m. at Altamont Baptist Church in Harlan with burial in the Cuppy’s Grove Cemetery in rural Harlan.  Visitation is Wednesday, May 30 from 6-9 p.m.

    LE MARS -- Alan D. Olson, 73, Le Mars, formerly of Irwin, died Monday, May 21 at Happy Siesta Health Care Center in Remsen.    Services will be held Friday, May 25 at 10:30 a.m. at First Baptist Church in Le Mars with burial with military honors provided by the Wasmer American Legion Post #241 of Le Mars in the Memorial Cemetery in Le Mars.  Visitation with family was held Thursday, May 24 after 4 p.m.

    AVOCA -- Albert Varner McMichael, 80, Avoca, died May 15 at his home.    Services were held Thursday, May 24 at 11 a.m. at Pauley Jones Funeral Home in Avoca with burial in the Graceland Cemetery at Avoca.    McMichael is survived by sons Eugene McMichael of Arabi, LA and Dennis McMichael of Metairie, LA; daughter Sherry Todd of Paradis, LA; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. 

    EARLING -- Leonard Joseph Tremel, 94, Earling, died May 18 at Myrtue Medical Center in Harlan.    Services will be held Tuesday, May 22 at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Earling with burial in the St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Earling.  A prayer service was held Monday, May 21 at 7 p.m. at the church.  Family greeted friends Monday from 4-8 p.m.

    HARLAN and PUEBLO, CO -- A joint memorial service will be held for Howard C. Henriksen, 93, Harlan, who died Wednesday, April 11 in Harlan, and Peggy Jo Gragert, 65, Pueblo, CO, who died February 8 in Pueblo.    The service will be held Saturday, May 26 at 2 p.m. at the Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Jacksonville with burial of ashes at a later date in the Jacksonville Cemetery.  Friends may call Saturday from 1-2 p.m.

    HARLAN -- Connie Jean Herrington, 64, Harlan, died May 13 at Avoca Specialty Care.    Services were held Thursday, May 17 at 11 a.m. at Pauley Jones Funeral Home in Harlan with burial in the Benton Cemetery in Benton.  Visitation was Thursday from 9:30-11 a.m.
