HARLAN -- Irene Margaret Buckley, 65, Harlan, died April 27 at Mercy Hospital.    Services will be held Tuesday, May 1 at 11 a.m. at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Harlan with burial in the Harlan Cemetery.  A wake service was held Monday, April 30 at 7 p.m. at the church.  Family greeted friends Monday from 5-8 p.m.

    COUNCIL BLUFFS -- Pearl A. Summers, 76, Council Bluffs, formerly of Harlan, died April 23.    Services will be held Friday, April 27 at 11 a.m. at Hoy-Kilnoski Funeral Home in Council Bluffs.  Visitation was held Thursday, April 26 from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home.    Summers is survived by her husband, James Summers; daughter Shelly Summers-Hunter; son James R.

    AVOCA -- Margaret Marilyn Hanson, 78, Avoca, died January 6, 2018 at her home.    Services will be held Saturday, April 28 at 10:30 a.m.

    HARLAN -- Bill Shannon, 95, Harlan, died April 20 at Myrtue Medical Center in Harlan.    Services will be held Tuesday, April 24 at 1 p.m. at First United Methodist Church in Harlan with burial in the Oak Hill Cemetery in Irwin.  Visitation was Monday, April 23 from 4-8 p.m. with family greeting friends from 5-7 p.m.

    EARLING -- Gerald John Bissen, 92, Earling, died April 19 at his home.    Services were held Monday, April 23 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Earling with burial in the St.

    HARLAN -- Dallas A. Havick, 101, Harlan, died Tuesday, April 17 in Harlan.    Services will be held Saturday, April 21 at 10:30 a.m. at Burmeister-Johannsen Funeral Home in Harlan with burial in the Jacksonville Cemetery in Jacksonville.  Friends may call Friday, April 20 from 2-8 p.m. with family greeting friends from 5-7 p.m.

    MINDEN -- Marcia L. Ploen, 67, Minden, died April 17 at University of Nebraska Medical Center.    Services will be held Saturday, April 21 at 10 a.m. at Minden United Church of Christ in Minden with burial in the Minden Cemetery.  Family will greet friends Friday, April 20 from 5-8 p.m.

    ELK HORN -- Calvin Lee Hoegh, 85, Elk Horn, died Thursday, April 12 at Salem Lutheran Home in Elk Horn.    Services were held Wednesday, April 18 at 10:30 a.m.

    HARLAN -- Rhonda Su Edgecomb, 53, Harlan, died April 15 at the University of Nebraska Medical Center.    Services were held Thursday, April 19 at 11 a.m.

    HARLAN -- Mildred Reinig, 94, Harlan, died at her home Sunday, April 15.    Services are pending at Pauley Jones Funeral Home in Harlan.    Reinig is survived by her husband, Tony Reinig; children Dolores (Bob) Gaeta, Rose Ann (John) Cannella, Mary (Doug) Baker, Judy (Leo) Hensley, Susan (Chuck) Field, Joan (Tom) Ouren and Allan (Jackie) Reinig; 21 grandchildren and 37 great-grandchildren.
 

    HARLAN -- Richard “Dick” Sciranko, Sr., 78, Harlan, died April 13 at his home.    Services were held Monday, April 16 at 1 p.m. at Grace Baptist Church in Harlan with burial in the Jacksonville Cemetery at Jacksonville.  A visitation and luncheon were held Monday from 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.

    HARLAN -- Gale Steinhoff, 86, Harlan, died April 12 in Manilla.    A private inurnment will be held with burial at the Nishnabotna Cemetery in Manilla.    Steinhoff is survived by his wife, LaJean Mae (Holmes) Steinhoff of Harlan; daughter Connie (Darwin) Campbell of Harlan; son Rickey Steinhoff of Manilla; sister Leah Shearon of Sioux City; two grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.    Pauley Jones Funeral Home in Harlan is in charge

Henriksen, 93, Harlan, died Wednesday, April 11 in Harlan.    Service arrangements are pending.    Henriksen is survived by his wife, Rhoda Henriksen, of Harlan; daughters Bonnie (Kim) Fritz of Story City and Patricia (LaVern) Musich of Roosevelt, UT; sons Ronald Henriksen of Harlan, Randy Henriksen of Urbandale and L.

    WALNUT -- Jack Eugene Osborn, 81, Walnut, died April 11 at Myrtue Medical Center in Harlan.    Services will be held Saturday, April 14 at 10:30 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Avoca with burial in the Monroe Township Cemetery at Walnut.  Visitation will be held Friday, April 13 from 4-8 p.m. with family greeting friends from 6-8 p.m.

    HARLAN -- Bruce Heilesen, 66, Harlan, died April 9 at his home.    Services were held Thursday, April 12 at 11 a.m.
