    HARLAN -- Charles Blum, 85, Harlan, died November 25 at Myrtue Medical Center.    Private family graveside services were held Monday, Nov. 30 at 2 p.m. at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Panama.    Blum is survived by sisters Sr. Joyce Blum of Panama, Alice (Jerry) Zimmerman of Minden and Jeanne (LeRoy) Heese of Defiance.    Pauley Jones Funeral Home in Harlan was in charge of arrangements.
 

    WALNUT -- Walter “Walt” Knudtson, 77, Walnut, died November 27 at Veteran’s Medical Center.    A memorial service will be held Wednesday, Dec. 2 at 2 p.m.

    PANAMA -- Irene D. Arkfeld, 96, Panama, died November 29 at her home.    A private family Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, Dec. 5 at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Earling with burial in the St.

    HARLAN -- Lola Linton, 55, Harlan, November 28 at Elm Crest Retirement Community.    A private family funeral service will be held Saturday, Dec. 5 at 11 a.m. at Pauley Jones Funeral Home in Harlan.  Visitation is Friday, Dec. 4 from 4-7 p.m. at the funeral home.    Linton is survived by brothers Mike (Marcia) Linton of Plymouth, MN and John (Peggy) Linton of Fort Calhoun, NE; and sister Ruth (Bobby) Schaben of Harlan.
 

    AVOCA -- Charles L. Obrecht, 81, Avoca, died November 25 at Avoca Specialty Care.    Private family funeral services were held Saturday, Nov. 28 at 3 p.m.

    EARLING -- Aloys Joseph Graeve, 93, Earling, died November 23 at Elm Crest Retirement Community.    A private family graveside service will be held Saturday, Nov. 28 at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Earling.    Graeve is survived by his wife, Mildred (Erlbacher) Graeve of Earling; sons Dr.

    DES MOINES -- Mary Kathryn Ahrenholtz, 78, Des Moines, died November 22 at Eden Crest.    Private family services will be held Saturday, Nov. 28 at 12:30 p.m.

    HARLAN -- Gerald John Schiltz, 92, Harlan, died November 24 at Elm Crest Retirement Community.    A private family funeral service was held Monday, Nov. 30 at 10:30 a.m. at Pauley Jones Funeral Home in Harlan with burial in the St. Mary’s Cemetery in Portsmouth.    Schiltz is survived by daughter Sandy Kenkel of Harlan and son Roger Schiltz of Council Bluffs.
 

    HARLAN -- Alvin Reinig, 95, Harlan, died November 22 at Elm Crest Retirement Community.    A private family Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, Nov. 27 at 11 a.m. at St. Mary Our Lady of Fatima Church in Portsmouth with burial in the St.

    ELK HORN -- Patrick Michael Gallagher, 64, Elk Horn, died Saturday, Nov.

    WALNUT -- Kenneth Suhr, 78, Walnut, died November 20 at his home.    Private family services will be held Wednesday, Nov. 25 at 11 a.m. at Pauley Jones Funeral Home in Avoca with burial in the St. Patrick Cemetery at Walnut.  Public visitation will be Tuesday, Nov.

    HARLAN -- Bonnie J. Knight, 93, Harlan, died November 19 at Elm Crest Retirement Community.    Private family services were held Monday, Nov. 23 at Pauley Jones Funeral Home in Harlan.    Knight is survived by daughters Kathleen (Clen) Lincoln of Fort Dodge and Nancy (David) Jacobs of Harlan; son Stephen Knight of Harlan; and six grandchildren.

    HARLAN -- Milo W. Nielsen, 99, Harlan, died November 18 at Elm Crest Retirement Community.    A private family graveside service will be held Monday, Nov. 23 at 2 p.m. at the Elk Horn Lutheran Cemetery in Elk Horn.    Nielsen is survived by nieces and nephews.    Pauley Jones Funeral Home in Harlan is in charge of arrangements.
