    STILWELL, KS -- Evelyn Ann Jacobsen-Plumb, 89, Stilwell, KS, died December 12 at Addington Place.    Graveside services will be held Thursday, Dec. 17 at 1 p.m. at the Harlan Cemetery.  Visitation is Thursday from 11 a.m.-1 p.m.

    HARLAN -- Shawn Havick, 51, Harlan, died December 13 at his home.    Services are pending at Pauley Jones Funeral Home in Harlan.    Havick is survived by his mother, Myrna Havick, father Allan Havick, and wife LaDonna Havick, all of Harlan; daughters Chelsey (David) Ray of Ames and Hannah Havick (friend Dakota Clausen) of Ankeny; and brother Shane (Deb) Havick of Harlan.

Weis, 58, Omaha, NE, formerly of Harlan, died December 7.    A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, Dec. 11 at 10:30 a.m. at Mary Our Queen Catholic Church with interment in the Resurrection Cemetery.  Visitation following CDC guidelines was held Thursday, Dec. 10 from 5-7 p.m.

    AVOCA -- James Nelson Shelley, 81, Avoca, died Friday, Dec. 4 in Omaha, NE.    No services are planned.    Shelley is survived by sons Greg (Stacy) Shelley of Trumansburg, NY, Eugene (Phet) Guiney of San Diego, CA, and Kevin (Lucia) Shelley of Bismarck, ND; sister Raelene Carstensen of Shelby; eight grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.    Burmeister-Johannsen Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

    WALNUT -- George Mertz, 105, Walnut, died December 4 at Cass County Memorial Hospital.    A private family service will be held Wednesday, Dec. 9 at 10 a.m. at First Presbyterian Church in Walnut with burial in the Layton Township Cemetery at Walnut.  A public visitation will be held Tuesday, Dec. 8 from 5-7 p.m.
