    HARLAN -- Norma Jean Jacobsen, 96, Harlan, died December 2 at Elm Crest Retirement Community.    Private services will be held at a later date.    Jacobsen is survived by stepdaughter Pat Ferry of Johnston; step-grandchildren, step-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and many friends.    Pauley Jones Funeral Home in Harlan is in charge of arrangements.
 

    HARLAN -- Patricia K. Ratigan, 64, Harlan, died November 28 at Myrtue Medical Center.    Services were held Saturday, Nov. 30 at St. Mary’s of the Assumption Church in Panama with burial in the St.

    HARLAN -- Bonnie Petersen, 95, Harlan, died November 25.    A memorial service and burial will be held at a later date.    Petersen is survived by children Rick (Patty) of Jacksonville, FL, Linda (Ben) Post of Harlan, Lori (Bob) Simpson of Austin, TX and Todd (Mary) of Harlan; brother Richard (Lile) Petersen; nine grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren. 

    ELK HORN -- Stanley Nichols, 80, Elk Horn, died November 23 at the Salem Lutheran Home.    A memorial service and masonic service will be held Wednesday, Nov. 27 at 11 a.m. at Pauley Jones Funeral Home in Harlan with burial at a later date.  Family will greet friends Wednesday from 9-11 a.m.

    HARLAN -- Janet Estelle Early, 92, Harlan, died Wednesday, Nov. 13 in Harlan.    Services will be held Friday, Dec. 13 at 3 p.m.

    HARLAN -- Dorothy A. Lefeber, 89, Harlan, died November 14 at Elm Crest Retirement Community.    Services were held Monday, Nov. 18 at 11 a.m. at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Harlan with burial in the St.

    ELK HORN -- David Wellman, 66, Elk Horn, died November 7 at the Salem Lutheran Home.    Services are pending at Pauley Jones Funeral Home in Harlan.    Wellman is survived by son Jason Wellman of Harlan; daughter Kaia Mikels; and sister Rita Flora of Eagle, NE.

    AVOCA -- Duane Jon “Dewey” Carroll, 62, Avoca, died November 6 at Bergan Mercy Medical Center.    Services were held Saturday, Nov. 9 at 10:30 a.m.

    HARLAN -- Cletus Herbert Schmitz, 80, Harlan, died November 11 at the University of Nebraska Medical Center.    Services will be held Saturday, Nov. 16 at 10 a.m. at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Harlan with burial in the Harlan Cemetery.  A wake service will be held Friday, Nov. 15 at 7 p.m. at the church.  Family will greet friends Friday from 4-7 p.m.

    HARLAN -- Paul Leroy Jensen, 79, Harlan, died Tuesday, Nov. 5 in Harlan.    Services will be held Saturday, Nov. 9 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Harlan with burial in the Harlan Cemetery.  A wake service will be held Friday, Nov. 8 at 7 p.m. at Burmeister-Johannsen Funeral Home in Harlan.  Friends may call Friday from 3-8 p.m. with family greeting friends from 5-7 p.m.

    WOODBINE -- Sandra R. Mahlberg, 74, Woodbine, died November 1 at Rose Vista Home, Inc.    Services will be held Wednesday, Nov. 6 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Earling with burial in the St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Earling.  A rosary will be held Tuesday, Nov. 5 at 7 p.m. at the church.  Visitation is Tuesday from 4-7 p.m.

    AVOCA -- Jack Pickham, 70, Avoca, died October 27 at the Salem Lutheran Nursing Home.    Services will be held Monday, Nov. 4 at 10 a.m.
