    WISNER, NE -- Funeral services for Sharon J. Breitkreutz, 80, Wisner, NE were held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, April 13, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Wisner. Burial was in the Wisner Cemetery.

Margie Taylor, 79

    ARVADA, CO -- Word has been received of the death of Margie Marie (Reinig) Taylor, 79, Arvada, CO, who died April 6 at St. Anthony Hospital in Lakewood, CO.    Taylor is a former Panama resident.    Services will be held Thursday, April 15 at 10 a.m. at St. Anne Catholic Church in Arvada with interment at Mt. Olivet Catholic Cemetery.  Viewing is 4-6 p.m. with a rosary at 5 p.m.

    HARLAN -- Marcia Elaine Harper, 87, Harlan, died April 7 at Elm Crest Retirement Community.    Services are pending at Pauley Jones Funeral Home for a later date.    Harper is survived by daughters Beth (Ron) Buck of Harlan, Nancy Yockey of Carroll, Marti Usher of Harlan, Mary Jane (Jeff) Mohr of Council Bluffs, and Karen (Jeff) Scott of South Lyon, MI; son Steve (Vicki) Harper of Rockwell City; 12 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

    PORTSMOUTH -- Mary Ellen Reisz, 89, Portsmouth, died March 31 at Bergan Mercy Medical Center.    Services will be held Tuesday, April 6 at 11 a.m. at St. Mary’s Our Lady of Fatima Church in Portsmouth with burial in the St. Mary’s Cemetery at Portsmouth.    A rosary was held Monday, April 5 at 7 p.m. at the church.  Visitation was Monday from 4-8 p.m.

Dr. Franklin J. Hardy, 91

    MT. PLEASANT -- Dr. Franklin James Hardy, 91, Mt. Pleasant, died Thursday, March 25 at his home.    A celebration of life will be held Saturday, April 17 from noon-3 p.m. at the Saunders Park Log Cabin Shelter in Mt. Long-term Harlan barber Goeser dies

    HARLAN -- One of the longest-serving barbers in Iowa, Leo Goeser, died last week.    Services are pending at Pauley Jones Funeral Home in Harlan.    Goeser was a Harlan icon, cutting hair from his downtown Harlan shop for generations.  He was especially known for his story-telling and jokes.    Watch the Harlan Newspapers for service information.
