    ELK HORN – Verne Kline, 79, Elk Horn, died August 19 in Santa Barbara, CA.    Services are pending.    Kline is former owner/operator of the Danish Inn in Elk Horn. He was preceded in death by his wife, Kathy.He is survived by his daughters Debbie Kline of Santa Barbara, CA; and Jacquelyn (Jeremy) Christensen of Elk Horn and four grandchildren: Maddie and Mara of Elk Horn and Eloise and Georgia Kline, Santa Barbara.

Burgod, 68, Harlan, died August 18 at the University of Nebraska Medical Center.    Services will be held Tuesday, Aug. 24 at 11 a.m. at Pauley Jones Funeral Home in Harlan with burial in the Holy Cross Cemetery in Ipswich, SD.  Visitation was held Monday, Aug. 23 from 5-8 p.m.

    HARLAN -- Richard Alan Jones, 80, Harlan, died August 19 at Myrtue Medical Center.    Services will be held Friday, Aug. 27 at 11 a.m. at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Harlan with burial in the Harlan Cemetery.  A rosary will be held Thursday, Aug. 26 at 7 p.m. at the church.  Visitation is Thursday from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. at Pauley Jones Funeral Home in Harlan and from 3-8 p.m.

    ELK HORN -- Evelyn Yvonne Christensen, 86, Elk Horn, died August 18 at the Salem Lutheran Home.    Services were held Saturday, Aug. 21 at 2:30 p.m. at Pauley Jones Funeral Home in Harlan with burial in the Harlan Cemetery.    Christensen is survived by her husband, Casey Christensen, of Harlan; granddaughter Amanda (Taylor) Pappas of Omaha, NE; and sister Delores Byriel of Ames.

    DENISON -- Darren “Woody” Anthony Pauley, 55, Denison, died August 14 at Iowa Methodist Hospital.    Services will be held Wednesday, Aug. 18 at 11 a.m. at St. Mary’s of the Assumption Church in Panama with burial in the St. Mary’s Cemetery in Panama.    Visitation will be held Tuesday, Aug. 17 from 5-8 p.m. at St.

    MANNING -- Funeral services for 4-year-old Jed Riesselman of rural Manning will be held Tuesday, Aug. 17 at 10:00 a.m. at the Manning Hausbarn Konferenz Centre in Manning.    Visitation was held on Monday, Aug. 16 from 4-7 p.m. at the Manning Hausbarn Konferenz Centre.    Jed died unexpectedly at Manning Regional Healthcare Center in Manning on Thursday, Aug.

    HARVEY -- Teresa Williams-Rosenbloom, 63, Harvey, died August 11 at Hospice of Pella.    Services were held Monday, Aug. 16 at 11 a.m. at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Harlan with burial in the Harlan Cemetery.    She is survived by her husband, Dennis Rozenboom, of Harvey; sons Brent Williams of Harvey, Christopher Rozenbloom of Pella, and Curtis (Kendra Willoughby) Rozenbloom of St.
