    HARLAN -- Debra Elizabeth Brown, 51, Harlan, died June 2 at her home.    A Celebration of Life will be held Tuesday, June 6 from 2-5 p.m. at Pauley Jones Funeral Home in Harlan.    Brown is survived by her husband, Steven Brown, of Harlan; daughters Emily Brown of Iowa City, Sarah (Andrew) Barksdale of Lincoln, NE and Kate Brown of Harlan; and granddaughter Elaina Barksdale of Lincoln.
 

    DENISON -- Loel J. Koch, 93, Denison, formerly of Boyer, died June 1 at Eventide Lutheran Home for the Aged.    Services were held Monday, June 5 at 10:30 a.m. at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Kiron with burial in the St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery at Kiron.

    IRWIN -- Helen Schleimer, 82, Irwin, died June 2 at Myrtue Medical Center.    Services will be held Tuesday, June 6 at 11 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Manilla with burial at a later date at the Mount Olivet Cemetery in Manilla.  Visitation was Monday, June 5 from 4-8 p.m. with family greeting friends from 6-8 p.m. at Pauley Jones Funeral Home in Harlan.    Schleimer is survived by son Donald R.

Bock, 88, Earling, formerly of Westphalia, died Wednesday, May 31 in Earling.    Services will be held Saturday, June 3 at 2 p.m. at Burmeister-Johannsen Funeral Home in Harlan with burial in the St. Boniface Catholic Cemetery in Westphalia.  Friends may call Saturday from 1-2 p.m.

HARLAN - Arrangements are pending at Pauley Jones Funeral Home for Annie E. Valline, 55,  who died  Friday, May 19.    She is survived by her husband Todd Valline of Harlan; daughter, Talia Valline, Chagrin Falls, OH and son, Jacob Valline, Las Vegas, NV; grandchildren Ayden and Kail; mother Barbara McCune, Sun City, AZ, sister Carrie (Steve) Nebel, Peoria, AZ.    A private family service will be held at a later date.

ELK HORN -- Carolyn Kintner, 88, Elk Horn, died May 19 at the Salem Lutheran Nursing Home.  She was a longtime Harlan resident.    Services will be held Tuesday, May 23 at 11 a.m. at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Harlan with burial in the Harlan Cemetery.  A wake service was held Monday, May 22 at 7 p.m. at Pauley Jones Funeral Home in Harlan.  Visitation was Monday from 5-8 p.m.

OMAHA, NE -- Mary A. Schwinderman, 92, Omaha, NE, formerly of Harlan, died Wednesday, May 10 in Omaha.    Services will be held Monday, May 15 at 11 a.m. at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Harlan with burial in the St.
