    HARLAN -- Edwin “Gene” Eugene Monson, 75, Harlan, died October 7 at Elm Crest Assisted Living.    Services will be held Saturday, Oct. 10 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Irwin with burial in the Oak Hill Cemetery at Irwin.  Family will greet friends Friday, Oct. 9 from 5-7 p.m.

    OMAHA, NE -- Richard Nicholas Stein, 89, Omaha, NE, died October 2 in Omaha.    Services will be held Saturday, Oct. 10 at 11 a.m. at St. Mary Our Lady of Fatima Church in Portsmouth with burial in the St.

    PORTSMOUTH -- Vern E. Tarkington, 87, Portsmouth, died September 30 at the Avoca Nursing and Rehab Center.    Services will be held Friday, Oct. 2 at 11:30 a.m.

    HARLAN -- Jerie Dee Obrecht, 65, Harlan, died September 30 at Myrtue Medical Center in Harlan.    Services will be held Saturday, Oct. 3 at 10:30 a.m.

    KANSAS CITY, MO -- Darci Marie Towne, 35, Kansas City, MO, died September 26 at her home.    Services will be held Friday, Oct. 2 at 1 p.m. at Pauley Jones Funeral Home in Avoca with burial in the Oak Hill Cemetery at Hancock.  Visitation was Thursday, Oct. 1 from 4-8 p.m. with family greeting friends from 6-8 p.m.

    HARLAN -- Marjorie Ann Hansen, 86, Harlan, died September 23 at Myrtue Medical Center in Harlan.    Services were held Saturday, Sept. 26 at 11 a.m.

    EARLING -- Marilyn Bernice Jensen, 78, Earling, died September 21 at the Little Flower Haven Nursing Home in Earling.    Services were held Thursday, Sept. 24 at 10:30 a.m. at Pauley Jones Funeral Home in Harlan with burial in the Harlan Cemetery.    Jensen is survived by brothers Harold Jensen of Denver, CO and Gerald Jensen of Earling. 

    HARLAN -- Agnes M. Larsen, 88, Harlan, died September 22 at Myrtue Medical Center in Harlan.    Services will be held Friday, Sept. 25 at 11 a.m. at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Harlan with burial in the Harlan Cemetery.  A wake service was held Thursday, Sept. 24 at 6 p.m. at Pauley Jones Funeral Home in Harlan.  Visitation was Thursday from 6-7 p.m.

    YORK, NE -- Clifford W. Kauffman, 96, York, NE, formerly of Marne, died Saturday, Sept. 19 at the Hearthstone Care Center in York.    Services will be held Friday, Sept. 25 at 10:30 a.m. at the Redline Church of Christ in Redline with burial in the Redline Cemetery.  Visitation was held Thursday, Sept. 24 from 7-9 p.m.

    HARLAN -- Thomas Marvin Schuler, 86, Harlan, died September 21 at Elm Crest Assisted Living.    Services were held Thursday, Sept. 24 at 10 a.m.

NEVADA -- Arrangements are pending for Verna Adams, 90, Nevada, formerly of Irwin, who died Wednesday, Sept. 16 at Rolling Green Village in Nevada.    The funeral will be Tuesday, Sept.

    HARLAN -- Funeral arrangements are pending for Alice Stolz, 101, Harlan, who died Tuesday, Sept. 15 at her home.    Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, Sept. 21 at 10:30 a.m. at St.
