OMAHA, NE -- Harlan Reuel King, 66, Omaha, died January 26 at Myrtue Medical Center in Harlan.    Services will be held Saturday, Jan. 30 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary’s of the Assumption Catholic Church in Panama with burial at a later date in the Washington Township Cemetery in Panama.      A rosary was held Thursday, Jan. 28 at 7 p.m. at St. Wenceslaus in Omaha, and a rosary also will be held Friday, Jan. 29 at 7 p.m. at the St.

    HARLAN -- Lyle Arthur Norton, 86, Harlan, died January 25 at Myrtue Medical Center in Harlan.    Services were held Thursday, Jan. 28 at 11 a.m. at Pauley Jones Funeral Home in Harlan with burial in the Harlan Cemetery.    Norton is survived by his wife, Jacquetta Norton, of Harlan; sons Brad Norton of Avoca and Tracey Norton of Harlan; seven grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. 

    HARLAN -- Martha Marie (Nielsen) Sieh, 91, Harlan, died January 25 at Elm Crest Retirement Community.    Services were held Thursday, Jan. 28 at 1:30 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Avoca with burial in the Graceland Cemetery.    Sieh is survived by her husband, Erwin F.

    ELK HORN -- Funeral services for Viola Sander, 92, Elk Horn, were held Wednesday, Jan. 27 at 10:30 a.m. at the Elk Horn Lutheran Church, with burial in the Elk Horn Lutheran Cemetery.    Sander is survived by children Terry (Neta) Sander of Elk Horn, Sarah J.

    HARLAN -- Kenneth Alvin Kuster, 91, Harlan, died January 19 at Elm Crest Retirement Community.    Services will be held Saturday, Jan. 23 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Harlan with burial in the Harlan Cemetery.  Visitation is Saturday from 9:30-10:30 a.m.

    HARLAN -- Larry Allen Patten, 74, Harlan, died January 14 in Tavares, FL.    Services will be held Saturday, Jan. 23 at 11 a.m. at Pauley Jones Funeral Home in Harlan with burial in the Harlan Cemetery.  Visitation will be Friday, Jan. 22 from 5-7 p.m.

    HARLAN -- Arlene Ann Reinig, 92, Harlan, died January 18 at Elm Crest Retirement Community.    Services will be held Friday, Jan. 22 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church in Portsmouth with burial in the St. Mary’s Cemetery at Portsmouth.  A rosary was held Thursday, Jan. 21 at 7 p.m. at the church.  Visitation was Thursday from noon-4 p.m. at Pauley Jones Funeral Home in Harlan, and from 5-8 p.m.

    WOODBINE -- Rhonda Lee Wendt, 57, Woodbine, died January 16 at Rose Vista Home, Inc.    Services were held Thursday, Jan. 21 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church in Portsmouth with burial in the Harlan Cemetery.    Wendt is survived by her husband, Larry Wendt, Sr. of Portsmouth; sons Larry (Jill) Wendt, Jr.

    SHELBY -- Emma Caroline McLaughlin, 99, Shelby, died January 17 at Myrtue Medical Center in Harlan.    Services were held Wednesday, Jan. 20 at 10 a.m.

    HARLAN -- Joyce Elaine Stahl, 76, Harlan, died January 13 at Jennie Edmundson Hospital.    Private services will be held Monday, Jan. 18 at Pauley Jones Funeral Home in Harlan with burial in the Harlan Cemetery.    Stahl is survived by sons Robert Craig Stahl of Harlan, Kent (Kelley) Stahl of North Platte, NE, and Tracey (June) Stahl of Trent, SD; daughter Penny Anderson of Harlan; 14 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.

    WALNUT -- Orris Lowell Drake, 85, Walnut, died January 13 at his home.    Services were held Saturday, Jan. 16 at 1:30 p.m. at First United Methodist Church in Harlan with burial in the Monroe Township Cemetery at Walnut.  Visitation were Saturday from 10 a.m.-1:30 p.m.

    AVOCA -- Edward “Bud” Telkamp, 86, Avoca, died January 11 at Veteran’s Medical Center.    Private family services will be held.    Telkamp is survived by daughters Cynthia Fetters of El Dorado Springs, MO, Penny Pattee of Avoca, and Kimberly Telkamp of Avoca; son Scott Telkamp of El Dorado Springs; sister Ruth Lenz of Decorah; 12 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren.    Pauley Jones Funeral Home in Avoca is in charge of arrangements.

    EARLING -- Gerald “Chris” Willian Christensen, 75, Earling, died January 10 at the Little Flower Haven Nursing Home in Earling.    Services were held Thursday, Jan. 14 at 10:30 a.m.

    ELK HORN -- Gary Wayne Sievers, Sr., 68, Elk Horn, died January 10 at Select Specialty Hospital in Omaha, NE.    Graveside services were held Thursday, Jan. 14 at 10:30 a.m.

    EARLING -- Gerald Christensen, 75, Earling, died January 10 at the Little Flower Haven Nursing Home in Earling.    Services are pending at Pauley Jones Funeral Home in Harlan.    Christensen is survived by sons Timothy Christensen of Earling and Troy Christensen of Peoria, AZ.
