EARLING -- Raymond Anthony Schaben, 85, Earling, died December 10 at Myrtue Medical Center in Harlan.    Services were held Monday, Dec. 14 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Westphalia with burial in the St.

    HARLAN -- Renee Ferguson and Gary Murray both of Harlan will exchange marriage vows on January 9, 2016 in a private ceremony.    Parents of the couple are Becky Herning, Harlan; and the late Jack and Inge Murray, who were Harlan residents. 

    WESTPHALIA -- Jillian Rueschenberg and Adam Hinners both of Overland Park, KS exchanged marriage vows on August 15, 2015 at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Westphalia. The 2:30 p.m. double ring ceremony was performed by Father David Smith.    Parents of the couple are Frank and Tami Rueschenberg, Westphalia; and James and Marci Hinners, Ankeny. 

    WAUKEE -- Gene Hans Mohr, 75, Waukee, formerly of Avoca, died December 7 at his home.    Services were held Thursday, Dec. 10 at 10:30 a.m.

    HARLAN -- Dolores Marie Wilkinson, 88, Harlan, died December 6 at Elm Crest Retirement Community in Harlan.    Services will be held Friday, Dec. 11 at 11 a.m. at St. Mary’s of the Assumption Church in Panama with burial in the St. Mary’s Cemetery at Panama.  A rosary was held Thursday, Dec. 10 at 7 p.m. at Pauley Jones Funeral Home in Harlan.  Visitation was Thursday from 5-8 p.m.

    HARLAN -- Gayle “Whitey” Petersen, 82, Harlan, died December 6 at Myrtue Medical Center in Harlan.    Services will be held Friday, Dec. 11 at 10:30 a.m. at First Baptist Church in Harlan with burial in the Rose Hill Cemetery in Kirkman.  Visitation was Thursday, Dec. 10 from 4-7 p.m., with family greeting friends from 6-7 p.m.

    CHARITON -- Beverly Christensen of Chariton will mark her 80th birthday on December 13. Her family is planning a card shower in her honor. Cards will reach her if sent to 54956 235th Trail, Chariton, IA 50049.    Beverly is an Atlantic native and a former Harlan resident.

    PANAMA -- Alfred Pauley of  Panama will celebrate his 80th birthday on December 13. His family is planning a card shower in his honor.

    NEOLA -- Toryann Myers and Jared Crozier both of Neola were married in an outdoor ceremony at Arrowhead Park near Neola on August 8, 2015. Pastor Heather Ploen of the Shelby Lutheran Church performed the 4 p.m. double ring ceremony.    The bride is the daughter of Kristen Heilig, Shelby; and Charles Myers, also of Shelby. The groom is the son of Greg and Raymona Crozier, Persia.
