Wolves have best season since 2009 and fall just a win short of the state tournament

MANNING- The IKM-Manning Wolves volleyball team had a tremendous turn around this season after going 14-17 overall a season ago to an outstanding 29-9 record this season. 
The Wolves also made their first regional final since 2009 this season on top of numerous other record breaking moments as senior libero Anna Stangl now holds the all time digs record at IKM-Manning with 1,156 total career digs. 
Sophomore Keagan Eischeid and Junior Addisyn Bandow also hit milestones over both getting over 500-career kills this season.
The Wolves will have key departures via graduation in seniors, Stangl, Grace Carroll, and Karlee Arp. Carroll wasn’t able to make as much of an impact this season as she was injured in the first game of the season but she had been a key contributor throughout her career.
Stangl and Arp will be huge holes to fill for the Wolves. 
Stangl had 33 assists on the season along with just 4 kills but her ability to keep almost any ball alive in her vacinity is her strong suit with 399 digs on the season. She is also an excellent server with 41 aces on the season. 
Arp was a key contributor in making sure the Wolves offense had great looks for kill opportunities as she 835 assists on the season out of the possible 912 assists the Wolves had as a team. 
Arp also had 42 kills, 189 digs, 15 blocks, and 37 aces. Although the Wolves will have two big holes to fill they also return a slew of great players. 
The Bandow sisters (Addisyn, and Katelyn) will be returning along with fellow juniors Caylie Rasmussen, Macy Gruhn, and Ella Langel. 
Sophomores Eischeid, and Olivia Linde will also be returning. 
Addisyn was a key player for the Wolves this season she was second on the team with 314 kills that was fifth best in the conference and had 62 digs along with 27 aces and 22 blocks. 
Katelyn had 64 kills and 23 digs with 2 aces and 47 blocks. 
Rasmussen had 2 kills, 183 digs, and 32 aces on the season. 
Gruhn also had a good season for the Wolves with 102 kills, 44 digs, and 33 blocks. 
Langel was also a good player for the Wolves with 145 kills, 54 digs, and 15 blocks. 
Eischeid had a phenomenal season all around in every facet of the game for the Wolves and will be a huge piece next season. 
Eischeid had team high 369 kills, which was second in the conference. She also had 267 digs second on the team along with 13 assists, 31 blocks, and 35 aces. 
The Wolves finished the season 29-9 and 6-2 in conference play with key wins over state ranked Missouri Valley and Treynor at the time. 
With Eischeid, the Bandow’s, and a group of other key players returning the Wolves should look to make another run towards a shot at the state tournament again in 2026.
