Sullivan named Myrtue Hospice Volunteer of the Year
HARLAN —Myrtue Hospice has recognized Tim Sullivan as its Volunteer of the Year in honor of his compassion, dedication and commitment to hospice patients and their families.
Sullivan has dedicated countless hours to supporting patients during some of life’s most difficult moments. He often spends extended periods at patients’ bedsides, providing companionship and comfort, including sitting with a dying patient for much of the day.
His willingness to be present offers reassurance to patients while giving family members an opportunity to rest, take a break or find comfort in having someone by their side as they navigate the final stages of a loved one’s life.
In addition to providing bedside companionship, Sullivan brings Holy Communion to patients who wish to receive it, offering spiritual support and honoring the importance of faith during the end-of-life journey.
Through his kindness, selflessness and generosity, Sullivan exemplifies the meaningful role hospice volunteers play in supporting patients and families. His service demonstrates how the simple gifts of time, presence and compassion can make a lasting difference.
“Thank you, Tim, for the difference you make in the lives of those we serve. Myrtue Hospice is grateful for your dedication and honored to recognize you as our Volunteer of the Year,” Myrtue Hospice administrators said.
