HCHS wrestlers place second at Mount Ayr

 MOUNT AYR -- Harlan Community finished with a 7-1 record and placed second to Lathrop (Mo.) at the Ron Scott Memorial Dual Tournament this past weekend in Mount Ayr. HCHS lost by two points to Lathrop during Friday’s opening round, then rattled off seven straight wins at the two-day event. Oscar Olmos and Jacob Wingert both finished with 8-0 records for the Cyclones and were named to the All-Tournament Team. In addition, HCHS senior Brandon Trevino received the tournament’s Wrestling With Character Award.
