HCHS places 3rd at SCC volleyball tourney
ROCKWELL CITY (Sept. 12) -- The Harlan Community volleyball team finished 2-2 and placed third out of five teams at the South Central Calhoun Master Blaster Tournament held Saturday. HCHS defeated both South Central Calhoun and Ridge View in straight sets (2-0) but lost three-setters to seventh-ranked (2A) East Sac County and Kuemper Catholic. East Sac (14-0) won the tourney with a 4-0 record. The Cyclones, ranked 13th in Class 4A, took a 9-3 overall record into Tuesday’s conference match at Kuemper.
