Wolves clinch playoff spot as Rasmussen runs for 306

 LAWTON (Oct. 8) -- Amos Rasmussen rushed for 306 yards and three touchdowns last Friday night, leading IKM-Manning past Lawton-Bronson 48-27 in a Class A, District 8 football game featuring 870 yards of total offense.
 The victory allowed IKM-M to clinch third place in the district - and a playoff spot - going into this Friday’s regular season finale at Ogden (a non-district game). The Wolves are 4-3 overall and 4-2 in District 8.
 Lawton-Bronson (2-5, 1-4) led 13-7 early in the second quarter before the Wolves scored 27 unanswered points and went up 34-13 in the third quarter. The Eagles scored the next 14 points to make it close, but the Wolves responded with two touchdowns in the fourth to pull away.
 Rasmussen’s touchdown runs covered 75, 65 and 23 yards and he finished with 306 yards on 23 carries. Cooper Irlmeier added 26 rushes for 100 yards with two short TD runs. Quarterback Nolan Ramsey threw a 22-yard TD pass to brother Luke Ramsey and later scored on a one-yard keeper.
 IKM-Manning have five takeaways on defense: Justin Segebart recovered two fumbles and had one interception and Cooper Perdew had one of each.
