AHSTW routs Mo. Valley 55-14, setting up showdown at Underwood
AVOCA -- The AHSTW football team ran its winning streak to five games on Friday night with an impressive 55-14 win over Missouri Valley.
The Vikings (5-1 overall, 3-0 in Class 1-A, District 1) steamrolled to a 48-14 lead by halftime, needing just 23 plays to score seven touchdowns on seven possessions. Some of the scoring highlights included a 74-yard run by Chase Jacobsen, a 41-yard run by quarterback Nathan Herbst, a 32-yard pass from Herbst to Cain Francois and a 34-yard run by Terry Shannon, who scored the team’s final three touchdowns.
