Three Special Olympics bowlers qualify for state

 COUNCIL BLUFFS -- A group of 17 Special Olympics athletes from the Harlan Community Schools (grades 6-8) participated in a regional bowling tournament at Thunderbowl in Council Bluffs on October 4. Three Cyclone bowlers advanced to the November 19 state tournament in Sioux City by placing first at regionals. Results are as follows.
 1st Place/State Qualifiers: Drake Riley (6th grade), Jason Hanson (6th grade), Angelina Wells (8th grade).
 2nd Place: Jason Anderson (7th grade), Mike Kenkel (8th grade), Tristan Harvey (6th grade), Billy Joe Harvey (8th grade).
 3rd Place: McKenna Bates (6th grade), Jonathan Ayers (8th grade), Billy Yoder (8th grade), Mark Kenkel (8th grade), Reed Waldron (7th grade).
 4th Place: Matt Kenkel (8th grade).
 5th Place: Skyler Griffin (8th grade).
 6th Place: Keegan Griffin (7th grade), Cameron Hicks (8th grade).
 7th Place: Landon Foster (6th grade).
