Three-pointers, big runs key Treynor boys’ rout of IKM-M

 MANNING (Jan. 12) -- Treynor started out cold for about four minutes of game time Tuesday night, then heated up in a hurry to down the IKM-Manning boys basketball team 75-34 in Western Iowa Conference action.
 The Cardinals (9-2 overall, 8-1 WIC) finished the first quarter on a 20-2 run, including four late three-pointers, and finished the game by scoring 27 of the last 29 points.
 Treynor made 13-of-36 threes against the Wolves’ zone defense, held IKM-Manning to just 14 second-half points and nearly pitched a shutout in the fourth period. The Cardinals also dominated the glass to the tune of a 41-13 rebounding advantage.
 Sid Schaaf led four Treynor players in double digits with 18 points while Davin Rucker and Tim Timmerman scored 12 apiece.
 IKM-Manning (3-6 overall, 2-5 WIC) was led by nine points from Cooper Irlmeier. Kyler Rasmussen scored eight points, followed by Brody Swearingen with six, Nolan Ramsey four, Luke Ramsey three and Connor Keller and Drew Doyel both with two.
