EXIRA -- Exira-Elk Horn-Kimballton bounced back from its first loss of the year in a big way Friday night, routing Boyer Valley 61-6 to improve to 7-1 overall and 5-1 in District 1.
The Spartans built a 48-6 lead by halftime, riding the three-pronged rushing attack of quarterback Brady Hansen and running backs Drew Buckholdt and Martin Olson. Buckholdt carried the ball 13 times for 121 yards and three touchdowns, Olson rushed nine times for 120 yards and two scores and Hansen had 13 carries for 93 yards and three TDs.
Exira-EHK outgained the Bulldogs 428-91 in total offense, including 407 yards on the ground.
