Spartan girls extend winning streak to 13 with two RVC wins

 ELK HORN (Jan. 21) -- The Exira-Elk Horn-Kimballton girls basketball team extended its win streak to 13 games here Tuesday night with a 58-36 home win over Paton-Churdan. The 12th-ranked (1A) Spartans improved to 13-1 overall and 10-0 in Rolling Valley Conference play, outscoring the Rockets 13-2 in the second quarter and 16-9 in the third to take control.
 The Spartans also won on Monday night, building a 46-11 halftime lead at Coon Rapids-Bayard and taking down the Crusaders 69-13.
