Schulte earns coaching award

 GLENWOOD -- Glenwood boys basketball coach Curt Schulte was recognized following the season as the Class 3-A, Substate 8 Coach of the Year by the Iowa Basketball Coaches Association. Curt is a 1989 Harlan Community graduate and the son of Harold and Pearl Schulte, rural Earling.
 Schulte guided the Glenwood boys to a 19-5 record this past season, marking the second-most wins in school history. The Rams finished one game short of making a second straight trip to the state tournament, losing to Perry 73-71 in an overtime Substate 8 final.
