Rasmussen helps carry Wolves past Rebels, 28-20

 SLOAN (Sept. 3) -- Amos Rasmussen rushed for 133 yards and two touchdowns and also kicked four PATs Friday night to lead IKM-Manning past Westwood 28-20 in a Class A, District 8 opener.
 The Wolves (1-1 overall) led 14-0 at halftime and answered two of the Rebels’ three second-half scores with touchdowns of their own. Westwood (1-1) scored its final TD with just :15 left to make it close.
 Rasmussen, who missed all of last season with a knee injury, carried the ball 24 times for 133 yards and scored on touchdown runs of three yards in the second quarter and 18 in the fourth.
 Cooper Irlmeier also had a solid night carrying the football, netting 97 yards on 20 attempts. He had a one-yard touchdown run in the first quarter and a six-yard run early in the fourth.
 The Wolves will host a highly-ranked Woodbury Central team this Friday at 7:00 p.m.
