Olesen’s five goals lead Lady Vikes to first regional win

 AVOCA -- The AHSTW girls soccer team had at least 10 reasons to feel good about Tuesday’s Class 1-A, Region 2 quarterfinal vs. Riverside.
 Beating the shorthanded Bulldogs, 10-0, for the second time in nine days, the Lady Vikes ended the match by the mercy rule with 26:27 left on the clock and in the process picked up the program’s first postseason victory in four tries.
 AHSTW (5-7 overall) also reached five wins in a season for the first time and will now play at 9th-ranked Tri-Center (11-4) in a regional semifinal Friday at 6:00 p.m.
