Midland’s Bruck competes in seven events at NAIA nationals

 FREMONT, NEB. -- Abby Bruck, a 2018 graduate of Harlan Community High School, recently completed her sophomore season as a member of the women’s swimming team at Midland University.
 Bruck, an Education major, specializes in sprint freestyle events for the Warriors’ third-year program, which finished the season by competing at the 2020 NAIA Swimming and Diving National Championships March 4-7 in Knoxville, Tennessee.
 Bruck competed in seven events at nationals: 50-yard freestyle (48th place); 200-yard freestyle (41st); 100-yard freestyle (48th); 800 freestyle relay (15th); 200 freestyle relay (15th); 200 medley relay (13th); and 400 freestyle relay (13th). She anchored the medley relay.
 Bruck competed for the Lewis Central swim team during high school, qualifying for three state meets and helping set a school record in the medley relay. She also set eight records as a member of the Harlan Community Summer Swim Team.
