Lange improves for BVU, makes All-Academic team

 STORM LAKE -- Sophomore Nicole Lange played in all 25 games for the Buena Vista University women’s basketball team this past season, averaging 8.4 points and 3.3 rebounds for the 1-24 Beavers.
 Lange, a 5-foot-11 forward and 2018 Harlan Community High School graduate, also excelled in the classroom at BVU as a member of the American River Conference’s Winter All-Academic Team. To be eligible, players must be at least a sophomore in academic standing with a cumulative grade point average of 3.50 or higher. Lange is currently majoring in Elementary Special Education.
 Lange played her best game of the season on January 11 at Dubuque, finishing with career bests of 24 points, seven rebounds, three blocked shots and 30 minutes played in one of her five starting assignments. She made 9-of-16 field goals.
 For the year, Lange shot 45.7 percent from the field, 11-of-30 from three-point range and 59.5 percent (50-of-84) at the free throw line.
 As a freshman at BVU, Lange played in 20 games (one start) and led the team with a field goal percentage of .452, averaging 2.3 points and 1.9 rebounds.
