Lady Wolves win Boyer Valley Invite

On Monday night, the IKM-Manning lady Wolves competed in the Boyer Valley Invite at Boyer Valley High School and took home first place.

“It was really great to see those athletes step up and go out and compete and it was nice to see the depth the team has developed this year,” said Wolves Head Coach Emma Konkler.

Konkler spoke on how this will help her team as they approach districts later this week at Audubon High School.

“Having another win this week was a good morale boost for the girls going into districts on Thursday,” she said.

Konkler acknowledged this track meet was an opportunity for other girls on the roster to compete.

“We used this meet to acclimate to the warmer weather and to run some of our athletes that have not had the opportunity to run as much this season,” she added. “The girls had a lot of fun competing tonight and did a great job supporting each other throughout the night.”

Their next meet will be Thursday at Districts at Audubon High School at 4 p.m. in which 15 schools will be competing.
