Knudson leads Cyclone rout of Cardinals
HARLAN -- Ethan Knudson’s 19 points led 13 Harlan Community players in the scoring column Friday night as the 3rd-ranked Cyclones utilized their reserves early and often in a 76-41 win over Clarinda.
HCHS built a 51-21 halftime lead and cruised the rest of the way, improving to 10-1 overall and 7-0 in conference play. Clarinda remained winless, falling to 0-11 and 0-5.
Knudson made 8-of-9 field goal attempts and Kyle Juhl tallied 10 points, six rebounds, four assists and four blocked shots for the Cyclones, who made 12-of-29 three-pointers and shot 51.7 percent overall. Logan Peters and Michael Rueschenberg added eight and six points, respectively, while Thomas Fink and Will Lansman both scored five.
Josh Espinosa paced the Cardinals with 11 points.
