Klein’s double-gold pushes HCHS to third at Ram Relays

GLENWOOD -- Harlan Community senior Marcus Klein earned gold medals in the long jump and 100-meter dash Monday night, setting a personal best in both events to highlight the Cyclones’ third-place finish at the Glenwood Ram Relays.
Klein was the only athlete to win two individual events at the meet, leaping 20 feet, 4.25 inches in the long jump and clocking a time of 11.37 seconds in the 100. He also led off the Cyclones’ second-place 4x200 relay and third-place 4x100.
HCHS seniors picked up two more wins in the discus (Curtis Schnack, 140 feet, 9.5 inches) and the 800-meter run (Levi Preston, 2:08.61). Schnack also placed second in the shot put.
