IKM-M beats Riverside

 OAKLAND (June 17) -- IKM-Manning completed a season sweep of Riverside in WIC baseball action Thursday, building an early 5-0 lead and holding off the Bulldogs 8-5 to notch its third conference victory.
 The Wolves’ 13-hit attack included two hits each by Brody Blom, Max Nielsen, Conner Richards, Cooper Perdew and Kaiden Barry. Perdew and Hayden McLaughlin each had a triple.
 Seven different IKM-M players scored at least once, with McLaughlin scoring two runs. Nielsen led the team with two RBI and Richards drew two walks and had three stolen bases.
 Nielsen pitched the first six innings to earn the win, throwing the maximum 110 pitches. He allowed six hits and three runs (one earned) while striking out 10 and issuing just one free pass - a hit-by-pitch. Blom and Lane Sams combined to get the final three outs.
