Holtz signs with Iowa Western

 AVOCA -- AHSTW senior Morgan Holtz signed a letter of intent on March 10 to continue her education and soccer career at Iowa Western Community College in Council Bluffs.
 Holtz has played two seasons for the Lady Vikes prior to last year’s season being cancelled due to COVID-19. As a freshman, Holtz started all 15 games for AHSTW on defense, providing “consistency, hustle and never-give-up attitude on the back line,” according to Coach Beth Herbst. As a sophomore, Holtz started 13 of 16 games, primarily in a defensive role. She also saw some time on offense, recording three assists and one goal while taking eight shots on goal.
