HCHS sweeps Le Mars

 LE MARS -- The Harlan Community baseball team won a pair of high-scoring games at Le Mars Friday night, sweeping the Bulldogs 13-9 (in eight innings) and 11-7 in a varsity doubleheader.
 Ranked third in Class 3-A, the Cyclones improved to 23-4 overall with two regular-season games remaining. They hosted Council Bluffs Abraham Lincoln Monday and will host Thomas Jefferson Wednesday night before turning their attention to Friday’s district opener vs. Carroll (at Harlan, 7:00 p.m.).
 Le Mars dropped to 15-19 on the year.

 The Cyclones tied game one by scoring three runs in the sixth, then busted loose for six runs in the top of the eighth and held off the Bulldogs 13-9.
