HCHS falls to LC

COUNCIL BLUFFS -- Lewis Central outscored the Harlan Community boys by 17 points during the final three quarters last Friday to upset the 3rd-ranked (3-A) Cyclones, 64-51, in a non-conference matchup.
The Titans (9-9 overall, 6-4 Hawkeye Ten) trailed 16-12 after the opening stanza but countered with a 19-6 run in the second quarter and extended their lead after the break. LC junior guard Chad Moran keyed the Titan attack with 26 points and five assists while Blake Elam scored 14 points, Mitch Brinkman had eight and JB Baker added 12 rebounds and seven points.
For HCHS (16-3, 8-1 H-10), Kyle Juhl scored 31 of the team’s 51 points and grabbed 12 of the 25 rebounds. Caleb Rasmussen and Ethan Knudson both scored five points and Will Lansman had four points and six rebounds.
