Football: Wolves fall to 0-2 at Southeast Valley

 GOWRIE (Sept. 4) -- Southeast Valley answered both of IKM-Manning’s second-half touchdowns Friday night to hold off the Wolves 32-22 in non-district football action.
 Kyler Rasmussen rushed for 52 yards and two touchdowns and Drew Doyel had 42 yards and one score for the Wolves (0-2), who were held to 189 yards of total offense.
 Southeast Valley finished with 265 yards, led by quarterback Kolson Kruse’s 87 passing yards and two TDs and his 60-yard TD run that put the Jaguars up 16-7 early in the third quarter.
 IKM-Manning pulled within 16-14 later in the third and 24-22 with 2:43 to go, but Southeast Valley (2-0) responded with a quick scoring drive each time. Hunter Sorenson’s 24-yard touchdown run clinched the outcome with 1:08 remaining.
 Wolves’ quarterback Nolan Ramsey completed 7-of-12 passes for 52 yards, including Doyel’s five catches for 40 yards. Mitchell Kerkhoff and Rasmussen led IKM-M with 11 tackles apiece.
