Cyclone girls wrap up conference crown

HARLAN -- In steady, business-like fashion, the Harlan Community girls just keep on winning basketball games.
The top-ranked Cyclones wrapped up a third straight unblemished Hawkeye Ten Conference championship here Friday night, using a 21-5 second-quarter run to pull away from Glenwood for a 70-40 victory.
Seniors Jordyn Moser (24) and Taylor Frederick (22) combined for 46 points as HCHS improved to 16-1 overall and once again finished conference play at 10-0. Only three regular-season games remain before the Cyclones can turn their attention toward defending back-to-back Class 4-A state titles.
