Burmeister playing at Iowa Central

FORT DODGE -- Cole Burmeister, a 2019 Exira-Elk Horn-Kimballton graduate, was a 5-foot-10 freshman guard this past winter for the Iowa Central Community College men’s basketball team. The Tritons finished 10-20 overall and went 3-11 in conference play.
Burmeister competed for Iowa Central’s varsity reserve squad and averaged about 10 points per game, according to head coach Chad Helle, who spoke highly of the former Spartan standout.
“He is definitely a great asset to our men’s basketball program and to Iowa Central Community College,” Helle said. “Watching all their home games, I believe Cole really improved in all facets of his game. Obviously coming from a small high school, there was a learning curve but I feel like he adjusted very well."
