Exira-EHK two-way standout repeats as first-team, 8-Player selection
DES MOINES -- Three area football players have been honored as part of the Iowa Newspaper Association 2016 All-State Football teams released on Tuesday.
Exira-Elk Horn-Kimballton senior Drew Buckholdt was selected as a first-team linebacker in the 8-Player class for the second straight year after once again leading the Spartans in tackles.
In addition, two area players were named to the All-State teams for the first time. Harlan Community junior Nick Foss was selected as a second-team running back in Class 3-A while Exira-EHK senior Seth Bradford was selected as a third-team defensive lineman in 8-Player.
