Bowling: HCHS sweeps Creston
ATLANTIC (Jan. 9) -- The Harlan Community bowling teams picked up a pair of dual wins over Creston last Saturday in a meet that was held at the Atlantic Super Bowl Sports Bar & Grill.
Despite rolling their lowest team score of the year, the Cyclone girls were able to hold off the Panthers 1984-1936 after being outscored by 28 pins in the Baker games. They improved to 4-1 on the season.
The Cyclone boys also bowled their lowest team total but were able to easily outscore Creston 2067-1722, improving to 2-3 overall.
Sydney O’Neill posted the HCHS girls’ top two-game series on the day with a 322 and also had the high game (176). Madison Horn was next in line with a 280 series.
The boys squad was led by Andrew Andersen’s 171 high game and 321 series. Tegan Steinkuehler rolled a 282 and Brennon Munch turned in a 281.
