Area seniors reach career milestones

 REGIONAL (Feb. 13) -- IKM-Manning senior Alexa Ahrenholtz surpassed 1,000 career points in her final game last Saturday while AHSTW senior Kailey Jones recently set the Lady Vikes’ school record for career rebounds.
 Ahrenholtz reached the 1,000-point mark in the first quarter of IKM-Manning’s Class 2A regional tournament game against East Sac County. She scored 30 points on the night but the Wolves were defeated in overtime, 74-69, and finished 7-12 on the season. Ahrenholtz, a three-year starter, finished her career with 1,026 points, 115 three-pointers, 322 steals and 249 assists.
 Jones broke the AHSTW career rebounding record on February 5, totaling 18 points and 15 rebounds in a 45-35 win vs. Underwood. Kinsey Scheffler, a 2020 graduate, set the previous record at 710 career rebounds. Jones, who enters Friday’s regional semifinal averaging 18.4 points and 12.9 rebounds per game this season, currently has 759 rebounds during her three-year career at AHSTW.
