Academic All-State soccer teams released

 HARLAN -- Six members of the Harlan Community boys soccer team have been recognized on the 2020 Iowa High School Soccer Coaches Association Academic All-State teams.
 Second team selections in Class 2A for HCHS included seniors Dalton Gross, Jacob Voge and Joe Devine as well as junior Jesse Schwery.
 Cyclones receiving honorable mention were seniors Isaac Jones and Colton Barnes.
 In past years, any player who participated in over half of their team’s varsity halves and who achieved a GPA greater than 3.5 on a 4.0 scale was eligible for consideration. Since there was not a soccer season this past spring, only the academic criteria was used to choose the teams.
