2016 Co-Ed State Track & Field Championships

 DES MOINES -- The girls and boys track teams from Harlan Community, IKM-Manning, AHSTW and Exira-Elk Horn-Kimballton have combined to qualify 29 entries for this week’s Co-Ed State Track and Field Championships at Drake Stadium (May 19-21). All eight area squads qualified at least one event for the state meet, led by the HCHS boys with nine entries and the Cyclone girls with eight. The IKM-Manning boys qualified three events and everyone else qualified two or one.
 State qualifiers were determined by last week’s State Qualifying Meets at four separate sites. Of the area’s 29 qualified entries, 18 posted performances that rank in the top 12 of their event and class (based solely on Thursday’s statewide results).
