Mary Ann Coenen, 87

    AVOCA -- Mary Ann Coenen, 87, Avoca, died June 11 at Avoca Specialty Care.
    Services were held Tuesday, June 15 at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Earling with burial in the St. Joseph’s Cemetery at Earling.
    A Catholic Daughters rosary was held Monday, June 14 at 7 p.m. at the church.  Visitation was Monday from 5-8 p.m. at the church.
    Coenen is survived by her husband, Virgil Coenen, of Harlan; daughters Cheri (Steve) Long of Harlan, Geralyn (Randy) Greer of Harlan and Amy (Darell) Butcher of Altoona; sons Ron (Mimi) Coenen of Waterloo and Gary (Becky) Coenen of Burlington Junction, MO; sister Arlene (Wayne) Justice of Manning; brother Gail Schmitz of Avoca; sister-in-law Sandy Schmitz of Des Moines; 17 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
    Pauley Jones Funeral Home in Harlan was in charge of arrangements.
