PORTSMOUTH -- John Wendt, 88, Portsmouth, died December 30 at his home.
Private family Mass of Christian Burial was held Saturday, Jan. 2 at 11 a.m. at St. Mary Our Lady of Fatima Church with burial in the St. Mary’s Cemetery in Portsmouth.
Wendt is survived by his wife, Elaine (Thielen) Wendt of Portsmouth; daughters Peg (Bob) Barta of Salado, TX, Bev (Rich) Priestly of Salado, and Traci (Trent) Schuning of Portsmouth; sons John (Mary Ann) Wendt of Panama, and Larry (Jeana) Wendt of Ceresco, NE; 18 grandchildren and 36 great-grandchildren.
Pauley Jones Funeral Home in Harlan was in charge of arrangements.
