Edwin Schaben, 87

    PANAMA -- Edwin Schaben, 87, formerly of Panama, died Wednesday, Oct. 14 at Elm Crest Retirement Community in Harlan.
    Visitation will be Saturday, Oct. 17 from 9-11 a.m. at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Harlan.  Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at the church.  Burial will be at Sts. Peter and Paul Cemetery in Defiance.
    Survivors include his children Deborah (Pat) Groth of Harlan, Larry (Kathy) Schaben of Omaha, NE, Connie Schaben of Omaha and Gary (Jackie) Schaben of Portsmouth; grandchildren Brooke (Quinn) Wilson, Taylor Schaben, Logan Schaben and Morgan Schaben; great-grandchild Sage Wilson; and siblings Ruth Weis, Paul (Jane) Schaben, Bernard Schaben, Dan (Georgene) Schaben, Henry (Colleen) Schaben, Mary Campbell, Mike (Jeannie) Schaben and Rose (Richard) Ditter.
    Pauley Jones Funeral Home in Harlan is in charge of arrangements.
