Edwin “Ed” Larsen, 96

    ELK HORN -- Edwin “Ed” Larsen, 96, Elk Horn, died Tuesday, Dec. 13 in Elk Horn.
    Services will be held Wednesday, Dec. 21 at 10:30 a.m. at Elk Horn Lutheran Church in Elk Horn with burial of ashes in the Elk Horn Lutheran Cemetery.  Friends may call Tuesday, Dec. 20 from 5-8 p.m. with family greeting friends from 6-8 p.m. at the church.
    Larsen is survived by his wife, Bev Larsen, of Elk Horn; children Linda (Roger) Jensen of Atlantic, Marcia (Terry) Nelson of Kimballton, Stephen Peterson of Elk Horn, Christine Jensen of Boise, ID and Rachel (Randy) Birks of Irwin; grandchildren Lonny (Christy) Jensen of Casey, Crystal (Brad) Ruth of Orient, Dana (Renee) Jensen of Adair, Brad (Amy) Nelson of Griswold, Jennifer (Chris) Tierney of Gretna, NE, Elizabeth Jensen of Denver, CO, Nate (Kara) Birks of Bettendorf and Sean (Ashlyn) Birks of Carroll; 16 great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
    Burmeister-Johannsen Funeral Home in Harlan is in charge of arrangements.
