Dr. Franklin J. Hardy, 91
MT. PLEASANT -- Dr. Franklin James Hardy, 91, Mt. Pleasant, died Thursday, March 25 at his home.
A celebration of life will be held Saturday, April 17 from noon-3 p.m. at the Saunders Park Log Cabin Shelter in Mt. Pleasant.
Hardy was formerly a dentist in Harlan from 1956-1996.
He is survived by two daughters, Carolyn (Robert) Jensen of Mt. Pleasant and Diane (Shuichi) Yamaguchi of Mukilteo, WA; four grandchildren, Sarah (Billy) Taylor, Reid (Abbie) Jensen, Maya (fiancé Bono Cardenas) Yamaguchi, and Alisa Yamaguchi; and four great-grandchildren, Kira Taylor, Sophia Taylor, Neva Jensen, and Milo Jensen.
Olson-Powell Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
