Dennis Shannon, 74

    BOONE -- Dennis Gale Shannon, 74, Boone, formerly of Harlan and Irwin, died March 31 at the Israel Family Hospice House in Ames.
    Services were held Saturday, April 3 at the First United Methodist Church in Boone, and a graveside service at Oak Hill Cemetery in Irwin.
    Shannon is survived by his wife, Diane, of Boone; children Ted Shannon of Des Moines, Jeff (Heather) Shannon of Olympia, WA, Lindsay Shannon of Naperville, IL, and Chris Shannon of Boone; grandchildren, Kaoula Madrone and Dmitri Marie; brother, Rod (Noreen) Shannon of Irwin; sisters Janice (Maury) Salz of Honey Creek and Joan Shannon of Des Moines; brother-in-law, Jim Caster of Illinois; nieces nephews cousins and their families.
