On December 11, 2022, Byron Fred Kelley, grandson of long time Harlan residents Walter and Clara Kelley, now deceased, passed to join his Father and Mother William J Kelley and Alice Irene Kelley.   Byron passed peacefully in hospital after battling cancer.  Byron is now reunited in love with other deceased family and friends.
He was born on February 19, 1956 in Rapid City, SD to William Kelley and Alice Kelley. Byron’s journey through life is as follows:  Byron experienced many moves including Rapid City to Sioux Falls to Council Bluffs to Omaha. Then moving again he graduated high school in Ankeny, IA. He then moved to Council Bluffs again, after his Army enlistment, for college and then to Mesa to live with his mom when his dad passed.
Byron was very proud of his Army days as a MP in Germany and was always proud to talk about it. Just as proud of that was his love for the KC Chiefs whom he followed from childhood.
Throughout Byron’s life, he enjoyed movies, television, bowling and family visits.  Byron had a healthy and happy life up until his last few months when cancer took him from us.
