Alfred Leinen, 88

    EARLING -- Alfred Paul Leinen, 88, Earling, died September 12 at the University of Nebraska Medical Center.
    Services will be held Monday, Sept. 18 at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Earling with burial in the St. Joseph’s Cemetery at Earling.  A rosary will be held Sunday, Sept. 17 at 7 p.m. at the church.  Visitation is Sunday from 4-8 p.m. at the church.
    Leinen is survived by his wife, Joan Leinen, of Earling; sons Alan (Peggy) Leinen of Kansas City, MO, Rod (Colette) Leinen of Kansas City, Chuck (Chris) Leinen of Omaha, NE and Jon (Vicki) Leinen of Denison; daughters Sherry Leinen of Earling, Diane Hess of Harlan, Ann (Tim) Graeve of Manilla, Brenda (Pat) Kloewer of Defiance and Lori (Ray) Brotherton of Denison; sister LaVina Schwarte Blum of Dunlap; 23 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
    Pauley Jones Funeral Home in Harlan is in charge of arrangements.
